No Objection over Ace Attorney Film Trailer

Posted on Monday, November 7 @ 09:08:19 Eastern by
Ace Attorney is being made into a film. No, I mean it. Really. It's going to be awesome.

My only hope is that the entire film is about Phoenix showing his lawyer badge and having everyone say, "Uhh... umm... that's... nice?"

Gyakuten Saiban releases in February 11, 2012 in Japan, and instantly, I wish I can do some kind of Game Revolution Mystery Science Theater with it. It's not like we need to understand what's going on. In fact, I'm sure it's funnier that way.

The Phoenix Wright games had a certain sort of charm to them, this film, though? Likely going to suck, but not because its based off of Phoenix Wright, but because it's a video-game film.

Well Japan's already done a broadway musical based off of Phoenix Wright. They can pull off a movie.

Before anyone says that so and so should have been cast with a white actor (like I've seen in comments everywhere else trailers for this have been shown), the only character shown in the trailer that wasn't Japanese in the original Japanese version of the game was Von Karma, who was American (and so is the only one you can legitimately complain about)

Still makes me wonder why was it too hard for the studio to find a white guy in japan to play Von karma? I think this is their retribution for the Akira remake we are making.

I didn't know that von Karma is an American name.

Von Karma was German. But the only problem I have with the casting is that the woman playing Mia isn't nearly endowed enough. I don't think a Japanese actress exists that is, though.

In the international versions, yes. In the Japanese version, he was American (and named Gou Karuma).

All realistic flesh imitating materials in Japan are used for humanoid robots and sex toys not breast impants. Objection!
