Non-Gaming Software Officially For Sale On Steam

Posted on Tuesday, October 2 @ 13:38:12 Eastern by Keri_Honea

Valve said that they were going to sell non-gaming software on their Steam cloud-client, and huzzah, they have made good on their word.

The following is the current list of non-gaming software available:
  • GameMaker Studio
  • 3D-Coat
  • ArtRage Studio Pro
  • 3DMark Vantage
  • 3DMark 11
  • Camera Bag 2
  • Source Filmmaker
To celebrate as well as promote the launch, all non-gaming software is currently 10 percent off.

Most of these titles will have Steam Cloud support and automatic updating, thereby allowing users to save their work via the cloud and pick up where they left off from any computer. As soon as they add Adobe Creative Suites to the mix (hahahahaha, I like to dream) I am all over it.
