NPD: Grand Theft Auto V The Best-Selling Game Of 2013

Posted on Friday, January 17 @ 05:41:17 PST by Alex_Osborn

Grand Theft Auto V was the best-selling game of 2013 in the United States, the NPD Group has reported. This shouldn't come as all too much of a surprise, especially when considering the crazy sales numbers the game garnered right out of the gate.

Nipping at its heals is Activision's Call of Duty: Ghosts, followed by Madden NFL 25 and Battlefield 4. Check out the full top 10 list for 2013 below.
  1. Grand Theft Auto V (360, PS3)
  2. Call Of Duty: Ghosts (360, PS3, XBO, PS4, PC, NWU)
  3. Madden NFL 25 (360, PS3, PS4, XBO)
  4. Battlefield 4 (360, PS3, XBO, PS4, PC)
  5. Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag (360, PS3, PS4, XBO, NWU, PC)
  6. NBA 2K14 (360, PS3, PS4, XBO, PC)
  7. Call of Duty: Black Ops II (360, PS3, NWU, PC)
  8. Just Dance 2014 (WII, 360, NWU, XBO, PS3, PS4)
  9. Minecraft (360)
  10. Disney Infinity (360, WII, PS3, NWU, 3DS)
What do you think will be 2014's biggest seller? I know it's a little early to make that call, but we here at GameRevolution enjoy a healthy dose of wild speculation from time to time. Will it be TitanfallDestiny? The next Call of Duty? Let us know in the comments below.
