LATEST FEATURES Being A Console Is Actually Xbox One's Worst Asset
Microsoft's newest console has lots of different features, but video games might hold the device back from the software giant's true intentions.

I wasn't allowed to talk about the new Infinity Ward game last week when I met with Activision, and I don't have much to say now that Xbox One spilled the beans.

Nyko Does What Nintendon't, 3DS Circle Pad With Battery Pack

Posted on Tuesday, June 12 @ 13:32:40 Eastern by

Why are my ideas always completely disregarded? Why is it that Nyko, of all companies, manage to come through on the side of gamers? Above you'll find Nyko's Power Grip Pro, a combination Circle Pad Pro and Battery Pack.

What's more, I think this looks quite a bit better than Nintendo's own Circle Pad Pro, seeing as it triples as a protective case for your 3DS. Nyko is promising that the Power Grip Pro will triple the battery life of your 3DS and provide easy installation.

I'll ask again, why didn't Nintendo do this in the first place? The Power Grip Pro is set for a $29.99 price point, only $10 more than Nintendo's Circle Pad Pro would set you back. How stupid do you have to be? The Power Grip Pro is slated for an October release.

I've been not buying the Circle Pad Pro because, you know, meh. 3DS games haven't been dual-analog, so it wasn't necessary. I still think it's unnecessary, but the extra power might make this worth it.

If only to have the functionality right? Not like you have to keep it on your 3DS all the time.

i will probably not buy a circle pad, and i will not be buying a Nyko product for sure. I got the Nyko Battery pack and charger for 3DS, and the charger did not work, returned it and got a new one, and it did not work, returned it and got a refund.

By the way, what do you mean by the "Nyko, of all companies" comment? Honestly curious. I haven't heard about them doing anything bad.

I think Axelownz has the reasoning behind my "of all companies" comment. God bless them for trying though.

The fact that this even exists shows how stupid Nintendo is...or maybe how stupid gamers are.

Why buy a handheld in this gen that doesn't have two sticks? Why purchase an add-on, that should have been a part of the console? It's no different than taking out parts of a game and then selling it to you as DLC.
