Only The Dead Hate Dubstep In Ghost Recon Future Soldier
Posted on Thursday, February 2 @ 15:27:37 Eastern by Daniel Bischoff
Ubisoft dropped a brand new Ghost Recon Future Soldier trailer on us today, made completely out of gameplay... gameplay and... dubstep. Seriously, what's up with those guys over at Ubisoft?!
Remember, Ghost Recon Future Soldier will see the release of a multiplayer beta in April on consoles. The game's release will follow closely afterwards on May 22nd for Xbox 360, PS3, and PC. Note the game's "Better withKinect" branding on Xbox 360. If you haven't been keeping up to date with everything GRFS, the label on the box is referring to Gunsmith's use of the Xbox 360 exclusive hardware.
I'm a massive fan of electronic music, mainly drum and bass and the like, but dupstep! what is up with it! Some of the older minimal stuff is pretty good, but the whole Megatron jerking off MwahMwhaMwha bass is just so unnecessary! It's such a shame to see that not only has it tainted what is an awesome underground electronic music scene in the UK but its now doing the same to video games! Please someone make it stop!

Dubstep is neat for about 2 minutes. More than that? Oh lawdie. Talk about milking a single interesting idea. It's like if the Beatles made the entire White Album consist of songs similar to "Rocky Raccoon".

The song didn't fit the trailer though. The first 30 seconds or so, sure. After that...Not really.
