Grid 2 surprised me. I was going through the motions, getting used to the cars and their handling, when suddenly something happened. I started having fun.

State of Decay Review
Undead Lab's zombie-infested action title has finally hit XBLA. Is it worth a few of your precious Microsoft Points, or should you whack it over the head with a two-by-four and continue on your merry way?

E3: PC or rather about the lack of it

E3 2013 has been very silent for me. There's tons of media, but most of it buzzes past my ears without them catching the important keyword that my ears are fine tuned to receive: "PC" or "Personal Computer". Microsoft, Sony, EA and Ubisoft have all shown their cards...

PAX East Badges Now On Sale

Posted on Monday, October 8 @ 12:09:28 Eastern by

PAX East runs from March 22-24, and will again be held in the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center in none other than Boston, MA (duh!).

Badges have now gone on sale over 160 days in advance, and they usually sell out quickly. One-day badges cost $35, or you can hit all three days for $70 with the three-day badge. You can register for a badge here.

I know it's a long time out, but just think, you could hang out with me on the show floor. And isn't it impossible to put a price tag on an experience like that? No? Oh, okay then. I see how it is.

Wow, paying to go to a convention? Not sure I'd be willing to do that. When I lived in the suburbs of the Dallas-Ft. Worth metroplex, one of the really nice things was Quakecon. Absolutely free, and while there were relatively few booths, most of the companies had plenty of nice stuff to give away. Won at least $130 worth of SteelSeries products from their Quake 4 tournaments. Also about 30 T-shirts over 3 years.

And there was always the fun part of watching a couple hundred sweaty nerds, wearing T-shirts and jeans, walking through the rather high class lobby of the Gaylord.

While I have no interest in driving out to Boston to attend, it might not be a bad idea to invest in a couple of three day passes to sell a couple weeks before the event...
