Persona 4: Arena Features 30-40 Hours Of Story Mode

Posted on Thursday, July 5 @ 15:03:48 Eastern by

Fighting games? Story mode? What? With Mortal Kombat, Netherrealm created a reason for even the casual fighting game fan to pick up a copy. It was like... a kung-fu movie... that you played! It was amazing.

Persona 4: Arena will purportedly do the same, in JRPG fashion, with an estimated 30-40 hours of content in Story Mode. That's not the 70 hours I spent on Persona 3 Portable, but it's about as close as a fighting game will ever get (I think).

My question is: how much of that time will be spent on gameplay and how much of it is animated cutscenes? How much of that time is worth spending on Persona 4: Arena?

I'm waiting for Golden, but it's getting pretty f***ing hard to not import or buy a PS2.
