Pikmin 3 Launch Date Announced, New Pikmin Type Unveiled

Posted on Wednesday, April 17 @ 11:31:10 Eastern by Alex_Osborn
Nintendo has finally announced the release date of Pikmin 3. The game, which was originally supposed to be released within the Wii U's liberal launch window (which ended last month), will hit store shelves on August 4th.

The news was announced during today's Nintendo Direct, where the company also revealed the latest addition to the game's cast of cute little characters, winged Pikmin. These adorable pink creatures not only possess the ability to fly, they are able to carry objects.

Oh yeah, and here's the box art.

Will Pikmin 3 be worth all the waiting Wii U owners have had to put up with? Let's hope so!
