Plants Vs. Zombies 2 Coming Early Summer, PvZ Adventures Launches Today

Posted on Tuesday, March 26 @ 12:20:44 Eastern by

PopCap Games sure knows how to generate buzz surrounding their new social adaptation of Plants Vs. Zombies for Facebook... by burying a coming soon announcement of Plants Vs. Zombies 2 in the press release, of course.

Plants Vs. Zombies Adventures sounds cool and all, even for a Facebook game. It's launching as a limited beta today and features exclusive plants and zombies on top of ways to send zombie hordes over to Facebook friends. But what we're really excited about is that Plants Vs. Zombies 2 has been confirmed by PopCap for an "early Summer" release.

PopCap had nothing more to say about PvZ2, instead focusing the announcement on PvZ Adventures. Rumor has it, it may be a FPS. Crazy, right? We'll just wait and see.

For you, PopCap, I'll give Plants Vs. Zombies Adventures a try. Plus, I need something to keep me busy until early Summer when the sequel to the original blockbuster arrives.
