Play Borderlands 2 on Steam for Free This Weekend

Posted on Thursday, August 21 @ 06:00:00 Eastern by Alex_Osborn

From now until Sunday at 1pm PT, Steam users can fire up Valve's digital marketplace and play Borderlands 2 free of charge.

And that's not all Steam is offering up fans of Gearbox Software's shooter series, as all of the game's content has been marked down, with some discounts as steep as 75% off! If you enjoy what you end up playing of Borderlands 2 as part of the free weekend promotion, you can get the full game for dirt cheap. Don't you just love Steam?

Don't forget that a new entry in the series is coming out later this year as well. Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel launches on PC, Xbox 360, and PS3 on October 14th.
