LATEST FEATURES Being A Console Is Actually Xbox One's Worst Asset
Microsoft's newest console has lots of different features, but video games might hold the device back from the software giant's true intentions.

I wasn't allowed to talk about the new Infinity Ward game last week when I met with Activision, and I don't have much to say now that Xbox One spilled the beans.

Play ICO And God of War Remotely On PS Vita Starting Today

Posted on Wednesday, September 5 @ 10:33:20 Eastern by

Remote Play is a feature on the PlayStation Vita that allows for PS3 games to stream to the Vita to be played anywhere with a WiFi connection. However, it's been almost entirely unsupported—in typical Sony fashion—until now.

Both the ICO and Shadow of the Colossus Collection and the God of War Collection have been patched to allow Remote Play access from a connected PlayStation Vita. You must first set up Remote Play, pairing the PlayStation Vita with your PS3.

It's an expensive way to play these games on the go, but if you already own both a PS3 and Vita—and either of these collections—then you might as well take advantage of the opportunity.

The main news that I think one can take from this, is more that Sony may finally be coming around to support the Vita with features that were promised even before it launched—features like Remote Play and the recently added PSOne Classic support.

Killzone 3, one of the first titles shown using the Vita's Remote Play feature, to this day still has yet to be patched to support it.

Let's hope Sony continues to patch PS3 games that allow for Remote Play on the Vita.

What about the individual God of War games? Do they work at all? I own all of them on the PS3.

Scratch that. I thought they were referring to the newer collection, not the one containing GOW 1 and 2. Gonna have to try that tonight just to see how it all works.

Brilliant...buy a gaming machine so you can play games you've probably already played before, or games you didn't play before based on decades old technology!!!

I should go buy the new NEO GEO handheld so I can play Samurai Showdown!

Hold on, does this mean I can play ICO in my car as long as my Vita is tethered to my phone? Or does the PS3 and Vita have to be connected to the same wifi network?
