PlayStation Network Gamers' Choice Awards Nominees Announced

The Oscars ended last night with The Artist taking home the award for Best Picture (and pretty much every other award, too). But now that the movie industry's biggest award show has ended, Sony has announced the nominees of their own awards, er... I mean, gamer's awards.



The nominees for the 2012 PlayStation Network Gamers' Choice Awards are...

Best PSN Exclusive: inFAMOUS Festival of Blood (PS3), PixelJunk Shooter 2 (PS3), TETRIS (PS3)
Best PSN Game: inFAMOUS Festival of Blood (PS3), Plants vs. Zombies (PS3), Resident Evil 4 (PS3)

The winner of each category will be announced on the PlayStation Blog on March 6th. Winners will then go on sale at a 30% discount for one week following the announcement.

PlayStation Network users can log onto the PSN now to cast their vote.

    These are terrible nominations. They do nothing to promote the unique games on PSN.

    Not only that, but the voting system is broken. Knowing the winner will be available for 30% off, wouldn't you vote for a game you didn't have?

    Also, the categories overlap far too much, same nominees again and again.

    How much you guys wanna bet the the most recent releases are gonna get the higher votes? That's the problem with video game popular votes, gamers got small attention spam.
