FEATURED VOXPOP oblivion437 Update: I was unfortunately not aware of Shamus Young's severe criticism of Fallout 3 available here to link in the original piece and I regret that.  It dovetails rather nicely with what I've written and it's much better executed than my piece.  I strongly recommend anyone...

PlayStation Vita Coming In Two New Colors

Posted on Wednesday, September 19 @ 09:29:55 Eastern by

Although all eyes were on the new PlayStation 3 "super slim" model during last night's Sony Tokyo Game Show press conference, there was more than just PS3 hardware getting a fresh coat of paint.

Sony also showed off two new colors for the PlayStation Vita in addition to the already available Crystal White and Piano Black models currently available (in Japan - white arrives with Assassin's Creed III: Liberation this October in North America), Cosmic Red and Sapphire Blue.

The two new colors will be available in Japan starting on November 15th. They'll likely make their way to the US some time in 2013, but at the time of this writing, there are no plans to do so.

Maybe they named the red color "Cosmic" in hopes that someone would mistake it for a "Cosmic" Black 3DS. Whatever their reason, the new colors are actually quite nice. Now, if only they'd sell...
