Pokémon Ruby, Sapphire Remakes Announced for 3DS [Update: First Footage Revealed]

Posted on Monday, May 12 @ 04:00:00 Eastern by Alex_Osborn
[Update] The first in-game footage for Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire has been released, and, unsurprisingly, the games appear to use the same engine as Pokémon X and Y.

Give it a look below and share your thoughts on this upcoming remake in the comments.

[Original] The Pokémon Company has just announced two new Pokémon games for 3DS.

They're remakes of the Game Boy Advance classics Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire. These new and improved versions have been re-titled Pokemon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire. Oh yeah, and both are slated for a worldwide release this fall!

Check out the announcement trailer below.

With E3 right around the corner, expect to hear more about this new entry in the Pocket Monsters franchise very soon.
