Pokémon Teaser Hints At Reveal Coming Next Week

Posted on Wednesday, January 2 @ 10:50:59 Eastern by Alex_Osborn

While sales of the 3DS have improved considerably over the past several months, the device is still missing that killer-app that will inevitably convince loads of gamers to finally shell out the cash for the handheld.

That's right, I'm talking about a proper Pokémon title for the 3DS—and no, Black 2 and White 2 do not count.

In a new trailer for the aforementioned DS titles, there's a teaser that hints at an exciting announcement coming next week, January 8th. Will it be a reveal for a new, 3D-centric entry in the series? I sure hope so!

As such, be sure to check back here at GameRevolution next week to find out what is next for the Pokémon franchise.

Have fun. Those are both amazing games and will look great on 3DS XL.

    Enjoy Ocarina of Time!

If Nintendo ends up porting Majora's Mask to the system, I may just have to shell out the cash for a 3DS XL as well.

I've never played it, tho I hear some like it better. I also hope they port it so I can give it a try.

The 3DS definitely doesn't have a killer app IMHO (I mainly got one to play DS JRPGs), so a fully-3D main-series Pokemon game would be a big seller for sure. Like... if they put something like that on the Wii U, I would buy one in two seconds.
