Yeah, it's a bit early to call anything considering the ridiculous amount of awesome coming out in November.

I may not like alienware but I do approve of the Ultimate Game of the Year tag.

Wait, they already gave out "of the Year" awards and it's only the end of October? Maybe since they know that a whole bunch of awesome games come out in November/holiday season, their year goes from October to October to give the giant muddle of awesome games time to sort themselves out.

I didn't find a spot on their site that announced what the award period was but I believe you are correct as far as October to October being the year. Which in a way is smart as it allows the hype period of a game to avoid having any impact on the actual award.

Then again, it potentially gives an advantage to the more recent release that hasn't had time to muddle around yet.

Then they should do the awards in February for the year past.

Guys, it *is* the end of the year. Well, depending on which calendar you use. I can't remember, are they using the Gregorian, Jewish, Chinese, or Klingon calendar for these awards?

That's... kinda sad. I mean, Portal 2 was a great game, but it was also pretty easy and only like 7 hours long.
