E3: PC or rather about the lack of it
By Starling

E3 2013 has been very silent for me. There's tons of media, but most of it buzzes past my ears without them catching the important keyword that my ears are fine tuned to receive: "PC" or "Personal Computer". Microsoft, Sony, EA and Ubisoft have all shown their cards...

Progress On Beyond Good & Evil 2 Slowed In Favor Of Rayman Legends

Posted on Tuesday, November 13 @ 09:15:56 Eastern by Alex_Osborn

Beyond Good & Evil has got to be one of the most underrated and underappreciated games of last generation. Loyal fans (like myself) have been eagerly awaiting a sequel for several years now, but unfortunately that limbless platforming buffoon takes precedence at Ubisoft.

In an interview with Polygon, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot explained why Jade's second adventure is taking so long. “What’s very important is that Michel Ancel is kind of doing too many things at the same time. He was working on Rayman Origins last year, and he’s working a lot on Rayman Legends this year. So, you know, when he does that, he kind of puts too much of his time on the other projects that he has.”

He then went on to say straight up that "working on Legends is slowing the process on Beyond Good & Evil 2.” But don't lose hope, as Ubi still has plans to finish the game at some point. Maybe when the Rayman franchise stops selling so ridiculously well.

“It’s really a game that we’ve been working, we have worked on, and is a game that we want to do. But there are so many things that have to be done that, you know, this one is going to come in line at one point, but at the moment Michele is really on Rayman Legends,” he concluded.

If you had to choose between more Rayman or more Beyond Good & Evil, which way would you swing? Let us know in the comments below.

I read about it and it reminded me of a Ocarina of Time (not story-wise) and I am one of the VAST minority of people who loathed Ocarina of Time.

I HATE ocarina of time and i can assure you, Beyond good and evil is one of the many hidden gems that the video game community forgot. It's to me, on the same par as Psychonauts as it has nice well round characters, fun puzzles, nice concept, colorful stages and a thoughtful philosophy.

PLEASE try the game before you judge and compare it to a zelda game.

I haven't played it, thus I'm not judging it. I get where you're coming from, and it's on my radar. Psychonauts is one of those games I've heard great stuff about, never had a reason to/not to play, but just haven't.

Beyond Good and Evil 2, please. The last game ended on a CLIFFHANGER of all things, I need to see it resolved before I die in the next... ah, by my calculations... 70 years or so?

NO! No! NO! Stop what you're doing and finish BG&E 2! We already had Rayman Origins we don't need another Rayman yet!
