PS Vita AR Cards Make 3DSs Look Like Crap

Posted on Friday, September 23 @ 09:16:04 Eastern by
There's no denying that the 3DS's AR cards provide a bit of "wow factor" for any on-lookers. Seeing interactive characters, games and more spring out of a simple card can be shocking, and is just plain cool. But the PlayStation Vita, its AR cards make the 3DS's AR functionality look like a complete joke. Watch this video below and you'll agree.

Now that the Vita is out, if you happen to lose your Vita AR cards, use this link for replacement Vita AR cards.

Looks nice. The real problem with the 3ds AR is that there are only the ones that come with the system. It would be a great idea to include additional AR cards with games or even be able to buy packs of them or something. I think the idea of having AR cards included with games could be pretty cool. I.E. star fox should have came with an AR card that allowed you to fly his ship through your living room killing baddies or something. Maybe vita will do it right.

There's no reason they can't do that. In fact (though don't quote me on this), I believe in Japan there have been some exclusive AR cards given at various events.

I still don't get the appeal of AR. Superimposing images on a the table in front of me just doesn't blow my mind.

I think the next pokemon for 3DS needs to include 6 AR cards so you could program your team to each card and use the cards to choose your mon (kinda like your imaginative pokeball) while you're choosing moves with Gameboy. I think it has a lot of potential on 3DS for something like that

that pokedex AR thing out now is kind of a gimmick with no gameplay, but it shows the potential
