PS3 Catching Up with Xbox 360 in Sales

Along with the September sales figures for video games, seeing Madden NFL 12 beat out Gears of War 3, NDP also has numbers for consoles:

PlayStation 3 - 364,000-374,000 (estimate based on Sony claiming a 20% rise in sales)
Xbox 360 - 438,000
Wii - 240,000
3DS - 360,000
DS - 145,000

Alone, those figures are expected. But what's surprising is the change in growth. According to NeoGAF, the PS3 is catching up with the Xbox 360, despite the 360's 40% dominance of the market share, and the 3DS is finally giving Nintendo the momentum they need with the drop in Wii and DS console sales:

PlayStation 3: +16.7-19.8%
Xbox 360: -9.5%
Wii: -5.5%
3DS: +10%
DS: -64%

    Danny (sorry had to get it off my system) needs to fix this damn double post glitch. In one of the podcasts he said he knew how but was just too lazy to do it. Either that or that flash thingy from MIB is still screwing with me.

    i always figured this was gonna happen, shoulda happened sooner. Lol it truly feels the same way to me. Over the years, more and more people i know personally, have acquired a ps3 in their household, somehow.
