PS3 Firmware 3.70 Out Now, Brings PS Plus Features

Sony has just released firmware 3.70 for the PlayStation 3. The new update mostly benefits the most spoiled of PS3 owners - namely, PlayStation Plus subscribers and 3DTV owners.
The PlayStation Plus exclusive feature "automatic download" will be renamed to "automatic update". The change is made to include other features aside from just downloading content, such as auto-uploading select save data to the cloud, and automatic trophy syncing.
For 3DTV owners, the update enables Java-based features on 3D Blu-ray discs, DTS-HD MA (and HR) audio decoding while watching 3D movies, and .MPO 3D image files to be viewed via the XMB. Before you could only view .MPO files through Sony's PlayMemories app on the PS3.
For everyone else, you get the ability to recommend games or other products from within the PlayStation Store. A new "recommend" button has been added allowing you to tell your friends what games, DLC and more they should look at. Sony has also expanded the XMB to include a new category called TV/VIdeo Services, which houses the Netflix, Hulu, and Vudu applications.
The update is available already, just turn on your PS3 and you should be prompted to update your system software.
