PS3, PC, and Mac Play Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Together

Posted on Saturday, August 27 @ 12:30:00 Eastern by

Looking to play Counter-Strike: Global Offensive on your couch, but don't want to miss out having fun with your PC friends? Who cares if they look down on you for playing with a pad? Counter-Strike: Global Offensive is about having fun, right? (Just ignore that Counter-Strike is serious business and play along here.)

Valve has confirmed that cross-platform play will be officially featured on the PC (duh), Mac (OK, yeah you probably should have known that), and PS3 (*GASP*). PS3 players will have the option of using a mouse and keyboard if they so choose. The PlayStation Move will also see support in the PS3 version of the game.

While Valve and company would like to implement Steamworks on the Xbox 360 like it did with the launch of Portal 2 on the PS3, Microsoft has continued to maintain restrictions on their online platform.

Picard, was there ever a Counter Strike story line? It might be that I've only played the versions up to 1.6, but the only thing I remember is starting the game, pressing the Online button, and furiosly playing until my wrists fell off.

With that said, doesn't just hearing the words "new counter strike title" bring a wave of joy and excitement to your day? followed by an irrepressive thirst for blood of course
