![]() Sony Computer Entertainment of America announced this morning a new intiative to bring digital download versions of this holiday season's biggest and best games to the PlayStation Network the very same day as retail release. The move is similar to what they're already doing for the PlayStation Vita. However, in addition to day one digital releases, some of the titles will be available for pre-order and at a discount for PlayStation Plus members opting to go for these PSN digital versions of the following titles:
[Update] Some titles will also have midnight releases. Sony isn't say which games will have midnight launches at this time. We'll update when that info is available. I will also buy digital only games on PSN / Live, but I have an issue with the eshop. Since there is no account to link your purchases to, where is the value in buying a game like New Super Mario Bros. 2 digitally? If I am right if your 3DS dies currently, don't you lose all of your content?
