PSN Is Down: What's Going on with the PlayStation Network?

The PlayStation Network is currently down. At this moment, there aren't any details as to why, but Sony is aware of the issue and has since issued this statement via their Twitter:



Let's not jump to any harsh conclusions about hackers or security issues. This could end up being a minor hiccup. If not, Sony's got some 'splaining to do.

    Word on the streets is they've inserted a copy of LA Noire into the main PS3 and Cole Phelps is on the case.

    I was having problems earlier, but it seems to be back in tip top shape. Don't know if that's the same for all regions.

    I thought it was very nice of them to let me update my system, shut down the console, and then tell me I can't log on 30 seconds later.
