Wedbush Securities analyst Michael Pachter believes the current Nintendo CEO and president, Satoru Iwata, should be replaced if the company ever hopes to recover from its current financial situation. In fact, the analyst believes Nintendo of America boss Reggie Fils-Aimewould be able to do a much better job.
"To be honest with you, and it's not gonna happen, Reggie would be a far better president," Pachtersaid on the latest episode ofPach-Attack!"I think Reggie is a very consumer-focused, capable executive. Love the guy. They're not gonnahire a western guy to run Nintendo, it's gonna be a Japanese guy. But I think Nintendo just needs different leadership."
Do you agree with Mr. Pachter? Is it time for Iwatato step down and Reggie to step up? Sadly, Reggie isn't Japanese, so it would likely never happen. But hey, one can dream, right?
