Retro Mega Man Games Heading To The 3DS

Posted on Monday, December 17 @ 13:30:05 Eastern by Alex_Osborn

While Capcom has failed to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Mega Man in proper fashion, they do have something planned next year that will please 3DS owners.

The publisher announced today that the first six entries in the Mega Man series will be headed to the handheld's eShop. The original Mega Man will be available next week on December 27th, and then in 2013, we will see releases of the rest of the games on a regular basis, starting with Mega Man 2 on February 7th.

Those in Europe and Japan have been able to enjoy these classic titles on the go for quite some time, but this marks the series' first appearance on the 3DS eShop in North America.

I think they'll be priced in line with the 3DS Virtual Console games, so I'd expect ~$5 a piece.

That seems so pricey for 20 - 25 year old games. BUT I STILL WANT THEM ON MY 3DS!!!! :(
