Rocksmith Does Not Ask You to Wear a Short Skirt Nor a Long Jacket to Learn Guitar

Posted on Thursday, May 22 @ 13:00:00 Eastern by

I love Cake. I love birthday cake and your average everyday “I’m depressed” cake, too. In fact, I might like that second kind of cake a little bit too much, but I also love the band called Cake! While I may not have gotten a lot of time on Rocksmith, it’s nice to know that Cake will be there should I ever pick up the guitar to learn with Ubisoft’s music simulator.

The publisher announced today that five songs from the rock group Cake, not the pastry, are now available for download and play in Rocksmith 2014 Edition, which Jessica reviewed late last year. Here’s the full list of songs:

The Distance
I Will Survive
Never There
Short Skirt/Long Jacket
Stickshifts and Safetybelts

Each song will cost $2.99 or users can pay $11.99 for the full five-song pack. For more Cake, listen to Short Skirt/Long Jacket above or head to your local bakery. For more Rocksmith 2014 Edition, check your local game shop and pick out a nice guitar to play with at a local music store. Then kick out the jams! (Not a reference to a Cake song.)
