Rumor: 2D Prince of Persia in Development, Runs on UbiArt

Posted on Thursday, April 17 @ 14:43:00 PST by Alex_Osborn
A fresh,2Dentry in thePrince of Persiaseries is in the works at Ubisoft, according to a new report.

French outletPortailduJeuVideo(viaVideogamer)claims that this newPrince of Persiatitle will make use of theUbiArtFramework, the same gorgeous engine that powers last year's hitplatformerRaymanLegendsas well as the upcoming ethereal RPGChild of Light.

Ubisoft hasdeclined to commenton the report, but with E3 fast approaching, there's a good chance we'll hear more about the rumored title very soon—that is, of course, if the game is even in development.

For now, we have to treat it as rumor, even if it does sound like a stellar idea that Ubi would be foolish not to pursue.
