E3: PC or rather about the lack of it

E3 2013 has been very silent for me. There's tons of media, but most of it buzzes past my ears without them catching the important keyword that my ears are fine tuned to receive: "PC" or "Personal Computer". Microsoft, Sony, EA and Ubisoft have all shown their cards...

Rumor: Assassin's Creed IV Subtitled "Black Flag," Features Pirates

Posted on Tuesday, February 26 @ 11:00:00 Eastern by Alex_Osborn
Ubisoft made it very clear not too long ago that they are planning to launch another entry in the Assassin's Creed franchise later this year. Until now, however, when and where it would be set remained a mystery.

According to a leaked poster, courtesy of Kotaku, the next installment in the series will be called Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag and feature a pirate theme. Check out the image below to see it for yourself.

The poster is allegedly supposed to appear in game stores starting next Monday, March 4th. As convincing as this image is, however, keep in mind that Ubisoft has not yet provided an official announcement, so we'll have to treat this as merely rumor for the time being.

Be sure to keep it locked to GameRevolution in the weeks and months ahead for future updates on what's next for Assassin's Creed. In the meantime, sound off in the comments below with your thoughts on a pirate-themed take on the franchise.

Hmmmm the sailing was decent in AC3 and the combat was pretty good too, but one of my favourite things about the AC games is killing high profile targets. Actual people from history (or at least fictional powerful people) that actually matter when they die. Pirate McBob and Long John Silver aren't gonna cut it, but we'll see! They haven't let me down yet so I'll still get it.

I have to disagree with this soooo much. The American Revolution was, in large part, fought because of British duties imposed on the colonies' importation of molasses.

Pirates would have been some of the HIGHEST profile targets at the time.

I like the series but as of the last two entries I have had the issue of being so engrossed in side quest that I end up getting burned out before making it through the main story missions.

    YES!

The high age of Piracy is the setting i wanted the most after playing and loving the naval combat in AC3. I think they could really make an amazing pirate game, and if it had free roam sailing, that would be even more awesome. Expand on the combat, ship boarding and all that and we would be good.

AC3s story sucked. Though revelations had a awesome story arc but it took multiple games of mostly repetitiveness .

Unless the innovate I doubt they will keep strangling sales out of people(Although its been surprising how well its sold so far)

I thought it might be about the origins of punk rock. I'm a little disappointed now.

I think there needs to be a good game that embodies punk rock. Something better than Tony Hawk's American Wasteland, because **** that game.

The sailing was the best part of ACIII, so this is exciting. Every time I'm ready to give up on the series, Ubi goes and does something I can't resist....

I love anything based around pirates hahaha, just always have for some reason, so the idea of a high profile series like AC tackling a pretty interesting and un-used point in history for gaming has me pretty amped!

We don't really have any amazing pirate based games outside of some strategy games like Port Royale or some of the older Tropico games right now in gaming, and I'm frankly getting a little bored of the endless zombie games or post-nuclear war settings that we see paraded out each month. Nice to see UBIsoft taking chances and actually trying out some new things like they did with AC3. Not resting on their laurels.
