Rumor: Assassin's Creed: Rising Phoenix Is A New PS Vita Title

Posted on Friday, March 15 @ 07:45:20 Eastern by Alex_Osborn
Just last week, an image bearing the Assassin's Creed: Rising Phoenix logo was discovered online. With Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag confirmed for consoles, this left us wondering whether this new project was in fact related to the upcoming Assassin's Creed film or perhaps a new Vita title.

An online listing by Spanish retailer XtraLife has us believing it's the latter, as the store had a listing for a PlayStation Vita title bearing that very logo, scheduled for release on October 10th. The listing has since been pulled, but not before All Games Beta managed to capture a screenshot.

The outlet also got ahold of a new alleged image of the game, which you can check out below.

Are you excited at the possibility of a new Assassin's Creed title for the PlayStation Vita? Let us know by commenting below.

I am excited for any good games on the Vita since its a really cool piece of tech and i love AC. Liberation was a ton of fun too, though a bit glitchy. I only have AC, Persona 4 and Playstation All Stars right now, and i got AC and All Stars for free and cross buy. Also importing the Japanese One Piece Pirate Warriors though since only Japan gets it on Vita. Still love to see anything good for the Vita.

Agreed. I love my Vita. I traded in all of the PSP titles I had that I could buy digitally, and used the store credit to get a PSN card so I could put them on the Vita. I am enjoying Liberation, and hope this new Vita title works out all of the issues that Liberation had. That would be amazeballs.

Same here. Anything from a triple-A franchise for the Vita is more than welcome on the handheld. Even if it's not as great as the regular ACs, I'm all for it.
