Grid 2 surprised me. I was going through the motions, getting used to the cars and their handling, when suddenly something happened. I started having fun.

Undead Lab's zombie-infested action title has finally hit XBLA. Is it worth a few of your precious Microsoft Points, or should you whack it over the head with a two-by-four and continue on your merry way?

E3: PC or rather about the lack of it

E3 2013 has been very silent for me. There's tons of media, but most of it buzzes past my ears without them catching the important keyword that my ears are fine tuned to receive: "PC" or "Personal Computer". Microsoft, Sony, EA and Ubisoft have all shown their cards...

Rumor: Blizzard Lays Off Longtime Senior MMO Level Designer

Posted on Tuesday, November 8 @ 14:37:03 Eastern by Josh_Laddin
Despite being only slighlty less of a juggernaught in the MMO space than it has in years past, Blizzard is still making obscene amounts of money. But a rumor out today shows that even in the good times, the guys on top are still subject to the axe.

Joystiq reports that one of their tipsters dropped the bomb that John Staats has been laid off. Staats had been on the WoW dev team since the game's inception and had his hand in almost all the content the game had to offer before leaving that post to be Senior Level Designer for Blizzard's new super-secretive MMO, Titan. Is not all perfect with the development of Titan? You don't just let go one of your most important guys (who has been refered to as "hero of the WoW dev team") without something serious going on.

According to the blue Dev's on the blizzard forums this rumor is utterly false.

From what I can tell, that post was in response to rumors of massive layoffs that were company-wide. There doesn't appear to be any mention of John Staats specifically, so it's still very possible that *he* is still gone. But I'm keeping an eye on it and will update as necessary if that info comes to light.

They merely downloaded his consciousness into the server that houses Titan. As for the dried decaying husk that was once his mortal coil... yes, it has been let go.
