Rumor: Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 Coming To Wii U, 360, PS3, And Vita

Posted on Tuesday, May 22 @ 11:06:03 Eastern by

*sigh*

Again? Really? This is the dedication and love I have for Castlevania: Lords of Shadow. Only a title of such calibur could get me to post about something from the Paul Gale Network. Seriously, who names the f***ing site after themselves? It's like if I started my own site and called it Daniel Bischoff Gaming (DBG for short).

Still, it's worth noting that the man has proven himself with early rumors of PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale. That's why we take it a bit more seriously when he says that a direct sequel to Lords of Shadow will be landing on the Wii U, Xbox 360, PS3, and Vita to coincide with Castlevania: Mirror of Fate on the 3DS.

Gale says that Mirror of Fate has been in development for 1 and a half years and that the game will use the 3DS cameras:

The forward facing camera will act as a mirror and the outward facing cameras will come into play for a new puzzle solving mechanic. More interestingly perhaps was the idea that Mirror of Fate on Wii U would be the same game as its 3DS brother, treating the U-Control as the 3DS's bottom screen and your TV as the 3DS's top screen, be able to play the game across both platforms, use the Wii U's forward facing camera as a mirror to "capture your reflection and reveal your fate", and so on.

We'll have to wait and see what shows up at Nintendo's press conference. We haven't heard anything about a dedicated Konami press conference following two years of pretty laughable presentations.

Don't forget that GameRevolution will be at E3 2012 in force, liveblogging every press conference, previewing tons of new games, getting hands-on impressions, and insider interviews.

Please God, whatever gives me more Lords of Shadow will be acceptable though.

We'll have to see. We're practically guaranteed to get a radically different look at the Wii U at E3.
