After all these years, and growing up with Windows 3.1, I have seen an entire evolution of computers and software. Touch screens and large resolutions were a pipe dream just 15 years ago. Now it's the norm. Going from a Packard Bell (yes, before HP) that couldn't run 3D Ultra Mini...

Rumor: New Narrative-Focused "Motion-Gaming IP" Coming From Harmonix

Posted on Friday, May 4 @ 11:27:25 PST by Alex_Osborn

If Dance Central and Rock Band are beginning to feel a little stale, but you still want an engaging motion-based experience, it looks like Harmonix may be cooking up something new and unique just for you. The studio is currently busy with Rock Band Blitz, but it doesn't look like that is stopping them from gearing up for a brand-new IP.

Still not excited? Just wait.

Apparently this new project won't be standard Harmonix fare, as the developer is believed to be looking for a narrative designer to add story-based elements to the experience. While we have no idea what they could possibly be planning, their job listing (via Supererogatory) clearly indicates that whatever this supposed new IP is, it's going to be a drastic departure.

"Harmonix seeks an accomplished Narrative Designer to incorporate creative story lines into gameplay on a unique motion-gaming IP," the listing says. There are also listings for a Software Engineer, Senior Content Designer and Senior Level Designer.
