Undead Lab's zombie-infested action title has finally hit XBLA. Is it worth a few of your precious Microsoft Points, or should you whack it over the head with a two-by-four and continue on your merry way?

E3: PC or rather about the lack of it

E3 2013 has been very silent for me. There's tons of media, but most of it buzzes past my ears without them catching the important keyword that my ears are fine tuned to receive: "PC" or "Personal Computer". Microsoft, Sony, EA and Ubisoft have all shown their cards...

Rumor: Nintendo Working On 3DS Lite

Posted on Wednesday, January 4 @ 07:55:33 Eastern by

Japan's Nikkei Trendy have reported that Nintendo is hard at work on a 3DS Lite, complete with a slimmer form factor and increased battery life. No official word from Nintendo, so don't take this as an "announcement", but it's a safe bet that something like this is in the cards. After the 3DS Lite, there will be a 3DSi and a 3DSi XL, and a 3DSi5XLT that's created specifically to cater to America's obesity problem.

But really, just a thinner system and more battery life? Where's the cream filling right circle pad? Or is Nintendo going to make a Circle Pad Pro Attachement Lite to go with this system?

I'm all for new hardware, and I'm not opposed to buying a newer 3DS when it hits retail, but I'm gonna need more than just battery life and a slightly reduced size.

I'm not too sure about a smaller size. My large hands already find it hard enough to not cramp up while playing my 3DS sometimes already. Especially if I'm trying to use the D-Pad.

The biggest complaint about the 3DS, even before its release, has been the battery life. 3rd-party companies thus began making their own products to combat the atrocious battery of the 3DS. I haven't tried any of these battery-life extenders, so I don't know if they work. But assuming they DID work, why then couldn't Nintendo make a better battery? Were they saving that for a 3DS Lite? If so, that's a huge middle finger for us Nintendo fans. The battery is removeable! Why can't they just make a longer-lasting battery, instead of fixing the issue through another handheld? Plus, I'm assuming the Lite would have more features than the 3DS, which means the battery life would then be even SHORTER.

Oh, and slimmer design? The 3DS is slim enough as it is. Don't listen to the folks at IGN; if it doesn't fit in your pocket, then get pants with bigger pockets.

I'm shocked. Who would have ever thought that Nintendo would do a redesign of a relatively new handheld?
