Undead Lab's zombie-infested action title has finally hit XBLA. Is it worth a few of your precious Microsoft Points, or should you whack it over the head with a two-by-four and continue on your merry way?

If Nintendo can't develop games made especially for the Wii U GamePad, then no one will be able to.

E3: PC or rather about the lack of it

E3 2013 has been very silent for me. There's tons of media, but most of it buzzes past my ears without them catching the important keyword that my ears are fine tuned to receive: "PC" or "Personal Computer". Microsoft, Sony, EA and Ubisoft have all shown their cards...

RUMOR: Rayman Legends Not Wii U Exclusive

Posted on Tuesday, June 12 @ 08:24:04 Eastern by Keri_Honea

If you paid just a teensy bit of attention to the Nintendo and Ubisoft press conferences from E3, you can't help but come away from them KNOWING that Rayman Legends is a Wii U exclusive. After playing it on the showroom floor, I would never think otherwise, considering that they only way you can control Murphy is with the Wii U GamePad. In fact, so many of the puzzles were reliant on Murphy it made me wonder how you could play the game by yourself at all.

However, it looks like this may not be the case at all. Ubisoft senior game manager Michael Micholic didn't confirm or deny that Rayman's next adventure is strictly a Wii U exclusive in an interview with Joystiq. "Well, we're not really saying it's a Wii U exclusive, although right now all we're showing is the Wii U [version]."

Not really saying it's a Wii U exclusive, eh? My, my how the plot thickens. Could it also go to the PS3 and use the Vita for the Murphy controls? Or could it use Microsoft's Smart Glass tech with the Xbox 360?

It wouldn't surprise me if they're looking into that. You would expect developers to try to spread out their work to get as many customers as possible. The problem would be that not every PS3 owner would have a Vita, and not every 360 owner would have a smart phone or tablet capable of running the Smart Glass app. That's the thing about optional features, you're not going to have 100% adoption among the user base.

Rayman Origins started as a Wii exclusive, so it makes sense that they'd show support for Wii U up front but eventually bring the game to other platforms.

Did it? I didn't realize that was the case with the first title. I can see the Wii U having exclusive features, but not the game being exclusive. The more platforms, the more money Ubi can make. And with the Wii U having a small install base at first, it's not going to sell enough copies to be profitable for Ubi.

And look at how Rayman Origins is on every single platform under the sun now. :)

Only about 22% of Rayman Origins' sales were on the Wii. I expect the controls will just be different for PS3/360.
