Rumor: Wind Waker, Pokemon X/Y Console Bundles Coming October

Posted on Wednesday, August 21 @ 08:43:14 PST by Alex_Osborn

Nintendo is allegedly planning to launch a few console bundles this October: one for the Wii U and a couple for the 3DS XL.

According to a supposed Target listing, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD will be bundled with the Wii U 32GB model for $349.99. In addition, word has it that upon release of Pokémon X & Y, Nintendo will be bundling a copy of Game Freak's latest with the 3DS XL. Naturally there will be two bundles: one that includes Pokémon X and another that features Pokémon Y. Each will be priced at $199.99.

Nintendo has yet to confirm the legitimacy of the purported bundles, so manage your expectations. That said, if you are in the market for either device, I suggest you hold out in the event that the rumor proves to be true.
