Yesterday, while cleaning up my media center, I found my copy of Ratchet & Clank: Into The Nexus, which I bought sometime before Christmas last year. I had been pretty excited about this game pre-release, what with it being the first "traditional", albeit shorter than usual,...

Saints Row 3 Announced

Posted on Monday, March 7 @ 18:32:47 Eastern by

GDC is such a hoity-toity affair. Big minds using big words to describe big ideas. Feh. What a bunch of elitists, right? They wouldn't be interested in an open-world series that's dressed you up as a pimp and given you free reign to run gang violence all over town!

Now that it's all over we can finally get around to telling you that Saints Row: The Third has been announced.

The Third Street Saints have conquered Stilwater (which I guess would be where the first or second game took place) and are moving on to a new city with a new rival to commit heinous crimes against in the streets in front of God and your mother and everyone.

Executive Vice President of Core Games for THQ said that "Saints Row: The Third puts you on top of the world, right at the beginning of the game, with all the perks that go along with being the head of an elite criminal organization. There’s no delivering pizza, no shuttling family members about in a long series of taxi missions. Instead, you take all the power of the Third Street Saints and you take the world by storm.”

Bilson is referring, quite obviously, to Sandbox-King Grand Theft Auto. Saint's Row: The Third seems like a perfect fit for PAX East. Maybe more information will be available there... hopefully not requiring a Game Informer subscription either. We'll see how Saint's Row: The Third does when it's released later this year.
