Grid 2 surprised me. I was going through the motions, getting used to the cars and their handling, when suddenly something happened. I started having fun.

E3: PC or rather about the lack of it

E3 2013 has been very silent for me. There's tons of media, but most of it buzzes past my ears without them catching the important keyword that my ears are fine tuned to receive: "PC" or "Personal Computer". Microsoft, Sony, EA and Ubisoft have all shown their cards...

Saints Row 4 Potentially Releasing This August

Posted on Tuesday, February 5 @ 13:19:07 Eastern by Alex_Osborn

Despite the fact that we've seen and heard virtually nothing of the next entry in the Saints Row franchise, it appears that it may be out on store shelves this August.

Original Saints Row design director Chris Stockman told IGN via Twitter that "the word around the campfire is SR4 is shipping on current gen consoles in late August." When the outlet followed up with parent company Deep Silver, the reply explained that they're "still working on [timing] with Volition," in addition to the fact that they haven't "announced platforms yet."

Do you think it is a smart move for Deep Silver and Volition to rush this game out before the release of Grand Theft Auto V, or should they take their time to really polish it and make sure it lives up to fans' expectations? Share your thoughts in the comments below.

I think its a great move on their part. I'm tempted to buy it just to get back at Rockstar for the delay. Now at least I have this and Bioshock to look forward to :)

Agreed. It's definitely the better placement than having it compared to GTAV after it gets 9s and 10s across the board (barring the alignment of the planets or something).

SR3 was stupid fun! And I mean that in the best possible way. It was a bit over the top, but it was a good pallete cleanser from more serious games. The 30 odd hours I spent in Steelport flew by. I hope number 4 is able to improve on the formula as mush as did over 2 (never played the first due to Xbox exclusivity). That's a fairly short development time considering there's not so much as a screenshot to show, so I'm guessing the same engine & not too many mechanical changes.

I've enjoyed all of the Saints Row games and I am cautiously optimistic about 4. But I was hoping the next one would be out on the next gen Xbox. More features and better graphics would have been nice.

I felt 3 was a step back from 2 in a few ways. I enjoyed it, but it felt like there should have been more story missions (especially since a bunch of them are just intros to side missions featuring characters who don't impact the main story in any meaningful way). They killed off the best character in the beginning, and I hated the changes they made to Shaundi. Still, it's nice to have a series of games dedicated to bringing you unbridled juvenile fun. Looking forward to more info.

Saints Row is a game that hasn't needed the best graphics to be fun. In fact, many of my friends were complaining that SR3 was "too polished" for the franchise. I hope they go back to the roots of the game... Keeping it quirky, fun and a little ridiculous, but getting away from the "superhero vibe" from the last game.

I think coming out before GTA is a good move. People like me who didn't love GTA4's hyper-realistic controls might choose to invest their money in another SR title.

I say yeah, get it out there. I will be looking into it as i loved Saints Row 1 and 2. Saints Row 3 looked fun but i though it was a bit too over the top compared to Saints Row 2. I think SR2 nailed it the best.
