Scribblenauts Developer Brings Third-Person Shooter Hybrid In Summer 2012

Posted on Tuesday, January 31 @ 14:35:03 Eastern by

Scribblenauts was fun right? Kind of cute, creative, playing around with words, trying to see what you could make! How about stabbing a space soldier in the face with a ninja alien blade? Still sound cute to you?

Jeremiah Slaczka's next game, Hybrid, will launch sometime this summer, mostly likely in one of Xbox Live Arcade's many block schedules.

Hybrid is a downloadable third-person shooter with a heavy emphasis on cover mechanics. You can pop up and shoot from cover, but instead of free movement, you actually pick and choose spots to transition to. These include the walls and the ceiling by the way.

Oh, and did I mention there's a persistent online world? Yup, you'll have to keep fighting over territories. I think I'll mostly like be siding with the Palladins on this one.
