See Old Max In New Max Payne 3 Screens

So much fuss was made about Max Payne's bald head. Oh, what happened to his hair? Why isn't he smirking all the time? Why is he fat? What, did he eat too many cheese burgers? Man, a cheese burger sounds good right now. I'll go get one. Be right back.... OK, I'm back. Why did I eat that cheese burger? It's making me fat.... Also I'm losing my hair.

Well, whatever! Younger, not-so-hairless Max is in Max Payne 3 too. See? These screenshots prove it! I still haven't had a chance to play Max Payne 3 myself, but after Red Dead Redemption, I don't really question Rockstar Games. L.A. Noire has ensured that I don't get myself too hyped up over anything from the publisher, but I'm just optomistic enough to put down money at my local GameStop.

Max Payne 3 will land on store shelves for Xbox 360 and PS3 on May 15th in America and May 18th in the rest of the world. Rockstar will also be releasing Max Payne 3 for the PC on May 29th.

    given all the major releases last year, this is the only game i've actually been excited about. let's hope that Max can knock John Marston off the #1 spot and regain his place as my favourite video game protagonist.

    i hope it's not goin to fall into the group of 'Backward Games' that Jonathan Leack posted about a few days ago. if it's gameplay and story are at least on par with it's predecessors, i'll be happy.

    I personally wasn't impressed with the trailer. Seeing a Max Payne who looks more akin to an out of shape Sam Fisher in a bright and sunny Brazil with little trace of classic film noir dialogue does not instill confidence.

    Flip side to that is...It being Rockstar and a Max Payne game does.

    Yeah, the hype is slowly building for me. Even if the multiplayer sucks I still believe there'll be a kickass campaign.
