[Original]This year will reportedly "mark a renaissance forSonic the Hedgehog." In fact, according to a piece of alleged promotional material (via NeoGAF), Sega is going so far as to label 2014 the "Year ofSonic."

Wii U owners are still patiently waiting for another exclusiveSonicgame as part of Nintendo's three-game partnership with Sega. Might this "renaissance" involve this new exclusive? Here's to hoping. After all, last year's efforts weren't particularly great.
