Shadows of the Damned Director Working On Movie-Length "Emotionally Challenging” Game

Posted on Tuesday, May 22 @ 13:39:23 PST by Alex_Osborn

Massimo Guarini, the director behind Grasshopper Manufacture's Shadows of the Damned recently started up an independent development studio of his own called Ovosonico to begin work on a brand-new game. This upcoming, untitled project is - surprise, surprise - not your traditional gaming experience, as Guarini has confirmed that it will only span the length of an average film and serve up what he's calling an "emotionally challenging" experience.

Currently the game is still really early in development, so Guarini didn't have all that much to reveal. "All I can say is that I want to craft memorable experiences. There is so much more to be explored besides throw-away iPhone games and 40-hour long traditional productions," he said. "I think the best way for us to achieve our vision is to provide a rich emotional experience packaged in a movie-length time frame, and possibly sold at a reasonable price."

Did you notice how he said that it would "possibly" be priced reasonably? Well thank you Mr. Guarini for "possibly" not ripping off consumers.
