Shank 2 Stabs Us All On February 7

Posted on Thursday, January 19 @ 14:09:23 Eastern by

Apparently, the virtual Mexicutioner still holds a grudge.

Electronic Arts and independent game developer Klei Entertainment have announced the release date for their upcoming sequel and 2D beat-'em-up (with knives), Shank 2, to be February 7th. It will be available for $9.99 USD on PSN and PC. On February 8th, it will appear on Xbox LIVE Arcade and PSN Europe.

Along with tighter controls and additional combos, Shank 2 will feature the brand-new Survival Mode, in which players can combine their forces to take down "hordes of goons in an action-pakced, arcade-style brawl". And all of it should be animated with the same brilliance that gave the first title IGF's Excellence in Visual Arts.

Meh. The first game was beautiful-looking, but barely any fun to play. This looks like more of the same.
And besides, Kingdoms of Amalur is released on February 7th. We don't need anything else for about a month (i.e. Mass Effect 3)
