Sid Meier's Civilization Revolution 2 Is Mobile-Exclusive, Arrives July 2

Posted on Wednesday, June 25 @ 08:52:00 Eastern by

Though not shown at E3, in favor of the futuristic Sid Meier's Civilization: Beyond Earth (feel free to read our preview), another Sid Meier's Civilization title has been kept under wraps until now.

The sequel to the successful Sid Meier's Civilization Revolution released five years ago, which was rated one of the top best-selling titles on the iPhone in 2009, is in development exclusively for mobile devices, with the iOS version releasing July 2 for iPhone, iPad, iPad Mini, and iPod Touch, and the Android version arriving at an undisclosed time.

Sid Meier's Civilization Revolution 2 hopes to capitalize on the improved hardware and touchscreen capabilities of today's mobile devices. This version will include historical favorites such as Gandhi, Napoleon, and Abraham Lincoln alongside newcomers Churchill and Kennedy.
