Sonic Adventure 3 Domains Registered

Sonic fans finally have something to be excited about, as a slew of "Sonic Adventure 3" domains have been registered by 1&1 Internet's French division. Does this mean that Sega's actually working on another installment in the popular Sonic series that first appeared on the Dreamcast? It certainly looks to be that way.

According to a report from TSSZ News, the following domains were registered in April: sonicadventure3.com, sonicadventure3.net, sonicadventure3.org, sonicadventure3.info, sonicadventure3.fr and sonicadventure3.eu. It's important to note that the domains for Sonic Generations, Sonic the Hedgehog 4 and Sonic Free Riders were all registered by a firm called EuroDNS, so it's very possible that a Sonic Adventure 3 isn't currently in the works at Sega.

But that's not going to stop the Sonic fanboy in me from holding out hope.

    Sonic Adventure was an incredibly influential franchise that has aged extremely poorly. Now that recent Sonic titles have gotten 3D Sonic definitively right, I wonder what they're going to do to make the new game a part of the Adventure series. Chao is a no brainer, but almost every other thing that made Adventure unique has been polished or streamlined in newer games.

    Not the open worldish elements of adventure...which I can't say I liked. But why does my opinion matter, my favorite game is Sonic Heroes.

    I'd like one but I'm afraid they'd swap out 'All I Want' by the Offspring for some modern garbage.

    Why? because you dont want them? too fing bad for you, cry more, sonic ep 1+2, and generations were all solid, if you dont like them theres this neat things the kids are doing, called not playing games you dont want to play.
