Sonic the Hedgehog 4 Episode 2 Coming in 2012

Posted on Tuesday, August 23 @ 12:42:28 Eastern by

Hey! Just because there's a Sonic game coming out it doesn't mean that it's a true sequel! Sonic Generations may carry all of your hopes and dreams for a decent Sonic game on its blue, pudgy back, but that doesn't mean it's a sequel.

Remember, only Sonic the Hedgehog 4 can be a true sequel. But it's only had one episode! Sega will be rectifying that next year with Sonic the Hedgehog 4 Episode 2 in 2012. Sonic Team's Takashi Iikuza spoke with Eurogamer saying:

This year, 2011, is the anniversary, so we're focusing on the celebration title. But moving forward to 2012, Sonic will still be going, so I'd hope to provide Episode 2 then.

Of course, the celebration title he's referring to is Sonic Generations. Looks like the blue blur will be buzz sawing his way through another 25 years.
