Sony Drops Price of PS3 to $249.99

During their annual gamescom press conference, Sony has announced a worldwide PlayStation 3 price drop. The PS3 will now sell for $249 in North America.

The PlayStation 3 is just a little short of that mass-market friendly price ($199.99) that helped make the PS2 the best-selling home console of all-time. Of all-time!

    Also, the 160GB model will be $249.99 whereas the 320GB will be $299.99.
