Sony Has "Nothing To Announce" Regarding Vita Price Drop In The West

Posted on Tuesday, February 19 @ 11:00:53 Eastern by Alex_Osborn

Just yesterday, Sony announced that they've officially dropped the price of the Vita in Japan. Gamers in the region will now be able to pick up the device for under ¥20,000.

Unfortunately, the same discount doesn't apply to the West... yet. When asked by IGN whether or not a similar price drop will be coming to North America and beyond, Sony replied by saying, “We have nothing to announce at this point in time.”

Could they be holding the news until tomorrow's PlayStation Meeting? One can only hope! Be sure to tune in to GameRevolution tomorrow evening to watch the event live.
