Sony Officially Unveils LittleBigPlanet Karting

Posted on Thursday, March 22 @ 08:13:09 PST by

LittleBigPlanet Karting has now been officially announced by Sony. Although, thanks to leaks and even a direct confirmation by Sony, we already knew about the game.

ModNation Racers developer United Front Games will be working in conjunction with Media Molecule on LittleBigPlanet Karting, leaving me to wonder: Why isn't this another ModNation Racers?

My guess is that Sony feels Sackboy is a better mascot/character for the PlayStation brand, and therefore, the next kart racer game will feature the burlap sack of cuteness. But that leaves me to wonder: Why even do ModNation Racers in the first place?

Bah, I'm sure I'll never understand the reasoning behind, and I'm not even sure if Sony does, either.

LittleBigPlanet Karting will release in  2012.
