FEATURED VOXPOP oblivion437 Update: I was unfortunately not aware of Shamus Young's severe criticism of Fallout 3 available here to link in the original piece and I regret that.  It dovetails rather nicely with what I've written and it's much better executed than my piece.  I strongly recommend anyone...

Sony Provides Update on The Last Guardian

Posted on Thursday, June 12 @ 08:00:00 Eastern by Alex_Osborn

The Last Guardian
was announced many, many years ago and we still have yet to see the game in any sort of playable state. Has Team ICO's title been canned? Is it in some sort of development hell? According to Sony, the game is still in development, but the team isn't ready to talk about it just yet.

"Lots of people tweeted me they were heartbroken by that news," Sony's Shuhei Yoshida told Eurogamer when asked about the rumored cancelation of The Last Guardian. "People are going through this roller coaster of emotions, and it’s our fault for not releasing the game, yet. We owe a lot to those people, but we really don’t want to release piecemeal information until we can say this is The Last Guardian – so we ask you to wait."

PlayStation fans have been waiting for an awfully long time. Hopefully Sony will finally break the silence later this year at either Tokyo Game Show or Gamescom. Give us a trailer... a screenshot... anything.
