Sony Redesigning PlayStation 3 Cover Art

Posted on Friday, March 7 @ 17:23:52 PST by Alex_Osborn
PlayStation 3's box art is getting a new look, Sony has confirmed to IGN. Now the cases will be blue, matching nicely with the current look of the PlayStation 4 and PS Vita game boxes.

Here's a look at the upcoming PlayStation 3 title Deception IV: Blood Ties, one of the very first games to sport the new style.

What do you think of the change? Would you have preferred it if Sony stuck with the current style with the black label and clear case? Or maybe you're a fan of the original Spider-Man-inspired design that made its debut alongside the console's launch back in 2006.

I for one just wish they picked one design and stuck with it for the entire generation. Now my PS3 shelf is going to look even less uniform!
